42 YEARS TODAY
42 years today, my parents got hitched ... at a little, quaint, but breezy church in Ripley, New York.
The big family joke has been that the candles all burned sideways, and it's true. If you look at their wedding photos, the flames were all going sideways! Apparently, there was some need for weather-stripping on those old church windows, but then, that's sorta what you get for getting married in December in a town that always has some sort of wind because it's nestled on the banks of Lake Erie.
At any rate, my parents are celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary today, and you know what? That's pretty dag-gone good in my book!
