VINTAGE DAVID

The following is a quote from my father. We all witnessed a squirrel chasing his girlfriend around an oak tree on the side of the "paved mule trail" (as my dad likes to refer to the rural roads down here), when, in a fit of passion, the squirrel ran out into the road and right into the path of my parents' oncoming mini-van.

"Well, that squirrel had his mind on too much sex and not enough safety. He should have been practicing safe sex."
